Last year, the streets of Cape Town were alive with the dazzling glow of Christmas lights, the purr of air-cooled engines, and the infectious energy of enthusiasts at the Wild Buggers Annual Lights For Life Run. This beloved tradition brought together a vibrant mix of Beetles, Kombis, and other unique VW classic cars, making it a night to remember for everyone involved.
The Night That Lit Up Cape Town with Buggy Buddies
The fun began at N1 City, where a line of decorated vehicles gathered to kick off the festive event. Shrek, our vibrant green Kango, stood ready to lead a massive convoy of buggy buddies through the city. From the classic blue and white Beetles to the striking yellow Fairthorpe British kit car, the variety on display was a true testament to the passion of our community.

We packed buggies full of dog food, blankets, and collars for animal rescues, proving that the Wild Buggers are about more than just petrol—we are about making a difference. The night concluded at the Bloubergstrand beachfront, where we parked under the stars with the sound of the ocean as our backdrop.
