Wild Buggers West Coast Cultural Experience Run Photo Gallery

What a fantastic day out on the road. The Wild Buggers crew fired up the engines and headed out on our West Coast cultural experience Run, bringing a beautiful lineup of beach buggies, classic Beetles, and rugged Baja Bugs along for the ride.

Our first major pitstop was the incredible !Khwa ttu San Heritage Centre, where we swapped the heat of the R27 highway for some fascinating local history, handmade traditional tools, and an indigenous garden walk that gave us plenty of laughs. After stretching our legs and checking out the exhibits, it was time to park the open-air rides and head down to Melkbosstrand for a proper lekker seafood lunch.

There is something about following a fellow buggy onto a gravel road that immediately makes the day feel more like an adventure, and Rhoodie leading the way to Khwa ttu definitely delivered that proper Wild Buggers feeling.

By the time the !Khwa ttu board showed up at reception, everyone knew we had officially reached the proper cultural part of the Wild Buggers West Coast run — and yes, a few cameras came out immediately.

By this stage the Wild Buggers had officially switched from convoy mode to sightseeing mode, stretching the legs, looking around, and pretending we were not all still keeping half an eye out for the next good photo.

Before the tour started properly, the Wild Buggers did what any sensible group would do — found a table, ordered some coffee, and took a lekker breather before the exploring began.

Once the stone painting started, it was clear this was not going to stay a one-person job for long — more Wild Buggers were already pulling in at the table, keen to leave their own little mark at !Khwa ttu.

Turns out Faizal is not only handy with a Jeep — he is clearly also quite the artist, and this Wild Buggers stone he painted at !Khwa ttu came out properly lekker.
