Goue Aar Old Age Home in Malmesbury Charity Event. 1 March.
Charity Run to Goue Aar
What a day! The Wild Buggers Beach Buggy Club headed out to Malmesbury for a heart-warming charity run at the Goue Aar Old Age Home. Our convoy was a sea of color, featuring everything from a classic 1600 VW air-cooled Salamander to a water-cooled Kango beach buggy.
We spent the morning dishing out food and spending time with the residents, showing that our club is about much more than just petrol and tires. Of course, it wouldn’t be a real beach buggy outing without a bit of drama. Anthony’s beach buggy decided to take an unscheduled break on the side of the road.
Then the sky opened up! Even in the pouring rain, the manne got stuck in to fix the beach buggy while some of us (naming no names!) hid away in the Baja Bug. We eventually made it to a well-earned meal at Bossa in Phesantekraal, rocking our awesome club caps and sharing a laugh about the day’s adventures. This is what being a Bugger is all about—community, classic VW air-cooled metal, and never leaving a mate behind.
