The Wild Buggers Beach Buggy Club just finished another legendary weekend camp at Die Hut Moorreesburg! Our latest photo album captures all the action, from the dusty arrival of our VW air cooled fleet to the hilarious Saturday night games that had everyone in stitches.

This wasn’t just another drive; it was a full-blown celebration of the VW air cooled Beach Buggy lifestyle. We saw everything from custom engine setups—including a water-cooled Nissan conversion—to the official naming of Jacques and Coralie’s yellow buggy, now known as “Dragonfly.”

The Saturday night braai was a massive hit. Between the perfectly toasted braai broodjies and Ruan’s “small” T-bone snack, nobody went home hungry. These Beach Buggy runs in Cape Town and the Western Cape are all about the friendship, the humor, and the love for VW classics. Whether we are A-framing our buggies to the site or cruising the open road, the Wild Buggers spirit is always at full throttle.

Check out the photos below to see the costumes, the convoys, and the best custom Beach Buggy builds in the club!

Die Hut Moorreesburg camp might be over, but the engines never stay silent for long. We have more events on the horizon, from charity runs to scenic coastal cruises. If you have a passion for Beach Buggies, Baja Bugs, or old school VWs, we want you there!
